RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)- New details are coming in about the two people involved in that deadly shooting in Richmond's Southside.The standoff happened Saturday in the 3900 block of Rusk Avenue.
Police say 38-year-old Clarence Taylor II, gunned down his girlfriend, 33-year-old Christine Squire, then shot and injured two Richmond police officers before taking his own life.
Windows are shattered either from bullets or the tear gas thrown into the house.
Squire's relatives are now grieving. "A beautiful person," says Chris McGainey. He is her son's uncle.
"She loved her kids. I have never, as long as I've known her, got any bad reports on her at all," he said.
Soon after detectives cleared the police tape, people who knew both Squire and Taylor came to pay their respects.
