RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)- Family and friends will gather to mourn the death of a loved one in Richmond Friday evening.
27-year-old Herman Braxton was shot Saturday while leaving a cookout off Creighton Road. Police found him behind an apartment building. He died later at the hospital.
His friends all called him Gotti. They say he was about to finish college at South University. Gotti was about to take a full-time job working for his dad. Family members say he was looking forward to supporting himself. He dreamed of buying his mother a car.
His vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Creighton Road, near where he was killed.
Police could use your help trying to find Gotti's killer. If you have any information that could help investigators, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Your tip will be anonymous.
